Job summary

Mercyhealth Lena seeks a part-time Receptionist to support clinic operations on day shift. Responsibilities include handling calls, welcoming visitors, and assisting with EMR (Epic) check-in and registration for patients, including collecting co-pays and processing payments.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and previous reception experience is preferred; Epic knowledge is advantageous. Flexible hours may be needed during peak times.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous medical reception or reception experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel.
• Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
• Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required.
• Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications.
• Loads, verifies and updates patient demographics in Epic. Registers patients and handles cashiering and payments.
