Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Physicist to oversee all clinical aspects of medical physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Under supervision of a level II or higher physicist, you will ensure accuracy in chart audits, perform QA on radiation devices, and support research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physics or related field from a CAMPEP-accredited program
• Completion of CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency or ABR mentorship

Responsibilities

• Audits and reviews patient medical charts.
• Performs quality assurance/control evaluations on radiation producing machines.
• Assists with special clinical research and development projects as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and standards.
• Advises and provides guidance to dosimetry and therapy staff and provides consultation services to attending physicians.
• Assists with the delivery of patient care for special procedures.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
