Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Erie, PA seeks a Medical Physicist to oversee clinical aspects of medical physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology under supervision of a level II or higher physicist.

You will audit charts, perform QA on radiation producing machines, assist with research projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide guidance to dosimetry and therapy staff while aiding physicians in patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physics or related field from a CAMPEP-accredited program.
• Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency program or ABR structured mentorship.
• 1 to 3 publications in medical physics.

Responsibilities

• Audits and reviews patient medical charts.
• Performs quality assurance/control evaluations on radiation producing machines.
• Assists with special clinical research and development projects as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and standards.
• Advises and provides guidance to dosimetry and therapy staff and provides consultation services to attending physicians.
• Assists with the delivery of patient care for special procedures.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
