Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Physicist to oversee all clinical aspects of medical physics under the supervision of a level II or higher physicist. The role includes chart audits, QA of radiation equipment, and participation in clinical research projects within the Radiation Oncology department.

Responsibilities also cover regulatory compliance and providing consultation to dosimetry and therapy staff and attending physicians, with additional duties as needed to support patient

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physics or related CAMPEP-accredited program.
• Completion of CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency or ABR mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Audits and reviews patient medical charts.
• Performs quality assurance/control evaluations on radiation producing machines.
• Assists with special clinical research and development projects as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and standards.
• Advises and provides guidance to dosimetry and therapy staff and provides consultation services to attending physicians.
• Assists with the delivery of patient care for special procedures.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
