Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks a Medical Physicist to oversee all clinical aspects of medical physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology. The role reports to a level II or higher physicist and supports patient care, QA/QC, research, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include chart audits, machine QA/QC, clinical research support, and consultation with dosimetry and therapy staff and attending physicians. Strong CAMPEP credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physics or related field from a CAMPEP-accredited program.
• Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency program or ABR-structured mentorship.
• Preferred 1–3 publications in medical physics.
• Must exhibit critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work independently in a challenging environment.

Responsabilités

• Audits and reviews patient medical charts. 30%.
• Performs QA/QC evaluations on radiation producing machines. 20%.
• Assists with special clinical research and development projects as assigned. 20%.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies and standards. 10%.
• Advises and provides guidance to dosimetry and therapy staff; provides consultation to attending physicians. 10%.
• Assists with delivery of patient care for special procedures. 10%.
• Other duties as assigned or requested. 10%.
