Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Physicist to oversee clinical physics in the Radiation Oncology department under supervision of a level II or higher physicist. You will conduct chart audits, perform QA on therapy equipment, and support research initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

You will advise dosimetry and therapy staff, provide consultation to physicians, and assist with care delivery for special procedures.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physics or related field from a CAMPEP-accredited program.
• Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency program or ABR structured mentorship.
• Preferred: 1–3 publications in medical physics.

Responsibilities

• Audits and reviews patient medical charts (30%).
• Performs QA/QC evaluations on radiation producing machines (20%).
• Assists with clinical research and development projects (20%).
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies and standards (10%).
• Advises dosimetry and therapy staff; provides consultation to attending physicians (10%).
• Assists with delivery of patient care for special procedures (10%).
• Other duties as assigned.
