• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of patients or employees.

Responsibilities

• Maintains compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Maintains compliance with revenue cycle and financial audit guidelines.
• Demonstrates effective computer skills, handles phones professionally, and provides other administrative duties as required.
• Performs patient check-in and check-out procedures, processes insurance verification and authorization, codes visits with ICD/CPT codes, balances daily receipts, and answers billing questions.
• Schedules patient appointments with complete demographic and clinical information in the system and coordinates with other parties.
• Orders and maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment.
• Adheres to HIPAA, OSHA and infection prevention guidelines; participates in unit performance improvement activities.
• Exhibits good customer service and teamwork when interacting with patients, families, and visitors.
