Kidzcare seeks a Medical Office Specialist to greet families, verify information, schedule appointments, and manage patient accounts within HIPAA guidelines.

You will coordinate with providers, assist with insurance verification, EMR data entry, and maintain a welcoming reception area while delivering compassionate, efficient service.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently, and effective communication in a fast-paced pediatric practice.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior medical experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and patient accounts is preferred.
• Experience with EMR software is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read and write effectively.
• Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette.

Aufgaben

• Greets the patient or visitor via telephone or in person.
• Answers incoming calls politely and professionally.
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics.
• Facilitates patient flow by notifying the Provider of patient arrival and delays.
• Responds to patient inquiries and provides medical records and documents as requested.
• Scans information into the patient’s EMR.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage.
• Collects insurance co-pays and/or charges for services.
• Schedules patient appointments.
• Maintains the reception and lobby area.
• Acts as a secondary contact for patient inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
• Provides accurate information regarding appointments and services.
• Coordinates with staff to resolve patient concerns and follow up.
• Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory training.
