Job summary

Avera DeSmet Memorial Hospital is seeking a Regular Laboratory Technician to perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests and manage instrument operations. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with procedures, and timely communication of results to care teams.

Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Technology degree or Technical Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Licensure/ certification as MLT (AMT or ASCP) within 1 year preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and supply inventory.
• Perform basic to complex clinical laboratory testing following established procedures.
• Communicate laboratory data to departments and healthcare providers in a timely manner.
• Support quality control, corrective action, and participation in CQI activities.
