Avera Sacred Heart Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests and support day-to-day laboratory operations. The role requires precise attention to detail, strong teamwork, and the ability to follow established procedures under rotating shifts.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality control, instrument calibration, and timely communication of results to care teams and providers.

Qualifikationen

• Associate's degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Technical Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology acceptable.
• AMT/ASCP certification within 1 year preferred.

Aufgaben

• Oversee daily operations of lab instrumentation and related supply/inventory tasks.
• Initiate corrective actions with MLS/supervisor as needed and manage workflow.
• Perform basic to complex clinical laboratory testing per procedures and guidelines.
• Communicate lab data to departments and providers in a timely manner.
• Assess results for validity and take corrective action with MLS/supervisor.
• Participate in CQI activities and ensure proper specimen collection guidance.
