Avera Sacred Heart Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join a multidisciplinary team. You will perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests and support day-to-day instrument operations in an evening shift with rotating weekends and holidays in the United States.

Responsibilities include quality control, test result interpretation, data communication, protocol development, staff training, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's transcript showing MLS or related degree.
• MLS/AMT or ASCP certification eligible within 1 year.

Responsabilités

• Manage day-to-day operations of laboratory instrumentation and disciplines.
• Perform basic to complex clinical laboratory tests with appropriate accuracy.
• Distinguish normal vs. abnormal results and alert staff as needed.
• Communicate lab data clearly to relevant departments and staff.
• CRITIQUE and correlate test results using established protocols and manuals.
• Contribute to development of lab protocols, CQI, and instrument updates.
• Provide training to new staff on equipment and procedures.
• Instruct on proper specimen collection, handling, and storage.
