Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the Reference Lab Testing team at Winston Campus in Winston-Salem. This full-time role is scheduled 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with weekends and holidays and other shifts as needed.

You will ensure accuracy and timeliness of test results, follow QC/QA procedures, maintain current certifications, and support safe, efficient lab operations while collaborating with a professional team in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred.
• Medical Lab Technologist certification (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as Medical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results.
• Ensures quality of test results by following defined Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.
• Ensures safety and compliance.
• Maintains appropriate education to accomplish work objectives and maintain current certifications as applicable.
• Ensure productive and efficient operations of the section and department.
• Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
