Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Medical Lab Technician for the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Lab in Winston-Salem. The role supports accurate lab results, follows QC/QA processes, and upholds safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Previous experience as a Medical Lab Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results.
• Ensures quality of test results by following defined Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.
• Ensures safety and compliance.
• Maintains appropriate education to accomplish work objectives and maintain current certifications as applicable.
• Ensures productive and efficient operations of the section and department.
• Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
