Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Medical Technologist for the Reference Lab Testing department at the Winston Campus. The role is full-time days with an 8:00 am to 4:30 pm schedule, weekends/holidays as needed, and a 40-hour work week.

The position emphasizes accurate test results, QC/QA compliance, and patient care responsibilities. Education requirements include an associate's degree with MT certification preferred and previous lab experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred.
• Medical Lab Technologist certification (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as Medical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results.
• Ensures quality of test results by following QC/QA procedures.
• Ensures safety and compliance with hospital standards.
• Maintains education to keep current certifications.
• Promotes productive and efficient operation of the section and department.
• Collaborates with team using communication and interpersonal skills.
