Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited university and meets other technologist qualifications as specified by CLIA 493.1491.
• Experience as a Medical Technologist (MT) preferred.
• Successful completion of a NAACLS approved Medical Technology program preferred.
• Technologist/Scientist Certification from ASCP or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to general hospital standards and follows policies and procedures.
• Performs laboratory testing accurately within required turnaround times.
• Maintains QC procedures and reviews results before reporting.
• Properly identifies patients and specimens to ensure correct labeling and reporting.
• Participates in continuing education and professional development.
