Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part‑time Medical Laboratory Technician to join the Stanly lab team in North Carolina. The role requires an Associate degree with MLT eligibility (ASCP/AMT) and certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities include preparing reagents, maintaining supplies, and ensuring QA standards are met. The position involves varied shifts (day, night, weekends) with a pay range of $24.10–$36.15 per hour, and requires adherence to CAP, TJC, and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education as defined by CLIA.
• MLT registry eligibility required; certification within one year of hire acceptable.
• MLT (ASCP/AMT) certification through military programs acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency and follows testing procedures per QA guidelines.
• Prepares reagents and maintains supplies to minimize waste.
• Exercises clinical judgment to prioritize test systems and troubleshoot with specialists.
• Reviews and revises procedures to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Maintains clear, real-time shift communications with leadership.
• Participates in staff meetings and projects to implement change.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
