Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Laboratory Customer Service/Support role to provide a bridge between internal and external customers, ensuring accurate data entry and timely lab report delivery. Main duties include phone communication, computer data entry, and printing/delivering lab reports, with opportunities to assist in specimen processing as needed in the main lab.

Qualifications

• One year of applicable clinical lab work experience or equivalent education and experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to navigate computer data entry and retrieval systems
• Ability to work weekends and rotating shifts including evenings, nights, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Provides a supportive link between UCI customers internal and external
• Facilitates communications by navigating computer and phone systems
• Builds and maintains customer relationships with empathy and professionalism
• Performs phone calls, computer data entry, and printing/delivering lab reports
• Reviews lab requisitions and performs quality review and troubleshooting
• Performs specimen processing in Central processing area and transports specimens
