Qualifications

• One year of applicable clinical lab work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work weekends, and rotating shifts including evenings, nights and holidays
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization
• Preferred: previous experience in customer service
• Experience with lab/hospital computer systems and software

Responsibilities

• Provide a supportive link between UCI customers both internal and external, facilitating communications and building relationships.
• Handle phone calls, computer data entry, and printing/delivering lab reports.
• Review lab requisitions and perform quality review and troubleshooting.
• Perform specimen processing in Central processing area of the main lab as needed, including computer data entry and transporting specimens within the lab areas.
