Job summary

University of California, Irvine Health seeks a Customer Service/Lab Support teammate to connect internal and external customers with the lab. You will manage calls, data entry, and printing/delivering lab reports while upholding accuracy and confidentiality.

Strong English communication, a service mindset, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting are essential. Weekend work and rotating shifts are required.

Qualifications

• One year of applicable clinical lab work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval.
• Ability to work weekends, and rotating shifts including evenings, nights and holidays.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
• Previous experience in customer service.
• Experience with lab/hospital computer systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Provide a supportive link between UCI customers both internal and external, facilitating communications by effectively navigating computer and phone systems.
• Handle phone calls, computer data entry, and printing/delivering lab reports.
• Review lab requisitions and perform quality review and troubleshooting.
