Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a customer-focused team member to provide a supportive link between customers and laboratory services. You will manage phone calls, data entry, and the printing/delivering of lab reports, while reviewing lab requisitions for quality and accuracy.

The role requires strong English communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work weekends and rotating shifts including evenings and holidays, within a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• One year of applicable clinical lab work experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Must possess the skills, knowledge, and ability for successful performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval.
• Ability to work weekends, and rotating shifts including evenings, nights and holidays.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide a supportive link between UCI customers and lab services; facilitate communications.
• Handle phone calls, data entry, and printing/delivering lab reports.
• Review lab requisitions and perform quality review and troubleshooting.
