Job summary

UCI Health in California seeks a patient-focused lab customer service representative to bridge communications between internal and external customers. Primary duties include handling calls, data entry, and delivering lab reports.

You will review requisitions, perform quality checks, and assist in the central lab's specimen processing as needed; weekend and rotating shifts are required.

Qualifications

• One year of applicable clinical lab work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval.
• Ability to work weekends, and rotating shifts including evenings, nights and holidays.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, perform data entry, and print/deliver lab reports.
• Review lab requisitions and perform quality review and troubleshooting.
• Also perform specimen processing in Central processing area of the main lab as needed.
• Main job includes computer data entry and transporting specimens in different lab areas.
