Job summary

Select Physical Therapy in Houston, TX is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk and patient flow at the outpatient center.

You will greet patients, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and communicate with providers and insurers. This PRN/Per Diem role offers 401k eligibility after 1,000 hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year front desk experience.
• At least 1 year medical office experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Insurance verification experience and bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Coordinate with attorneys, insurance companies and translation services; support market leaders.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance verifications.

Position: Patient Service Specialist

Location: Houston, TX (Cyfair)

Type of Employment: PRN/Perdiem (FLOAT - NOT FULL TIME)

Schedule: Weekdays - Varies

Compensation: Starting at$15 hour (pending experience)

As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out


• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone


• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team


• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED required


• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience


• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health Care Experience


• Insurance Verification Experience


• Bilingual
