Select Medical in Altoona, IA is seeking a Patient Service Specialist - Float to manage front-desk activities across multiple clinics. You’ll greet patients, schedule visits, and communicate with insurers and partners to support smooth operations.

This full-time role offers weekday hours, clinic-based work, and compensation in the $17–$20 per hour range, with benefits for 32+ hours per week and opportunities for growth within a large rehabilitation network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain regular communication with attorneys' offices, insurance companies, translation services, market operations leaders, and the business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

• Home Clinic: 3770 8th Street SW Suite G & I, Altoona, IA 50009

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday (Clinic Hours 7am-6pm)

Compensation:$17.00 - $20.00/hour
