Job summary

Select Medical in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to warmly welcome patients, register them for visits, and manage scheduling and payments. The role combines front-desk patient care with business operations support, including insurance verifications and co-pay collection.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least one year in a medical office, with insurance verification experience preferred. This is a full-time on-site position with weekday hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical office experience.
• Preferred: Insurance verification experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with attorneys offices, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Position: Patient Service Specialist

Type of Employment: Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00/hour
