Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for our Pasadena outpatient clinic. You will greet, register, and guide patients, schedule visits, and coordinate with insurers and care teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of medical office experience.
• Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Preferred: Insurance verification experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of front desk experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and inform them about visit expectations and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Maintain regular communication with physicians, insurers, translation services, and leadership teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations & verifications.

Position:Patient Service Specialist

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays, Clinic Hours

Compensation:$24.00 - $30.00/hour - based on experience

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience

Preferred:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish Speaking)
• Insurance Verification Experience
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience
