Job summary

Select Medical in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to staff our outpatient physical therapy center. You’ll greet patients, register them, explain visit steps, and assist with the next appointment at the front desk.

You will schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and coordinate with insurers, attorneys, translation services, and leadership to ensure smooth operations. The role is full-time, with hours Monday–Friday and pay $18.00–$21.00/hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of Medical Office Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
