Job summary

Select Medical's Stevens outpatient center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, and coordinate visit details at the front desk. You will schedule appointments, manage communications with attorneys, insurers, translation services, and the center's leadership team, and handle payments and insurance verifications.

Full-time role with a Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional evenings until 7pm, supporting a busy outpatient PT center and patient experience from

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Scheduling experience preferred for outpatient settings.
• Healthcare environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, provide information about visits, and confirm next appointments.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Coordinate with attorneys, insurers, translation services, and center leadership.
• Collect co-pays and handle eligibility, authorizations, and insurance verifications.

Compensation:

$16.00 - $19.00/hour (pending experience)

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred

• 1 Year of Scheduling Experience
• Healthcare experience
