Job summary

Select Medical in East Hanover, NJ is looking for a Patient Service Specialist to join our ambulatory PT center. The role is full-time with a 9am–5pm weekday schedule and hourly pay in the $18–$22 range depending on experience.

As the first point of contact, you will greet patients, register them, and handle scheduling, co-pays, and insurance authorizations. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of front desk or health-care experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• 1 year of front desk experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visits and next appointments.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys' offices, insurance companies, translation services, and leadership teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications
