Job summary

Select Medical in Spring, TX is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet and register patients, explain visit steps, and manage appointments and payments at the front desk. The role supports coordination with payers and offices to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of front desk experience.
• Experience verifying insurance and editing patient accounts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, explain visit steps, and provide information about next appointment at checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys' offices, insurance companies, translation services, and clinic leaders.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
