Job summary

Select Medical in Pasadena is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, and guide them through the visit process. You will handle scheduling, insurance verification, and co-pays, supporting both patient care and clinic operations.

This full-time role offers clinic hours on weekdays, with compensation of $23.00-$24.00 per hour and a benefits package including health coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and inform them about visit expectations and next appointment details.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Coordinate with attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, and internal teams.

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out

• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience

Preferred

• Bilingual (English/Spanish Speaking)
• Insurance Verification Experience
