Job summary

Select Medical in Palos Hills, IL is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, schedule visits, and handle front desk operations at the outpatient physical therapy center.

You will manage patient communications, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and coordinate with providers and insurers to keep visits on track. This full-time role requires a friendly, detail-oriented professional committed to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Position:Patient Service Specialist

Location: 9000 College Pkwy, Bldg H, Palos Hills IL, 60465

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Monday - Friday (hours vary/1 evening per week)

Compensation:$19.00 - $20.00/hour (pending experience)

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Insurance Verification Experience

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Healthcare experience
