Job summary

Select Medical in San Francisco is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to welcome patients, register them, and guide their visit from arrival to checkout at the center.

You will schedule appointments, communicate with insurers and attorneys, collect co-pays, and verify coverage. This full-time role is weekdays 7am-4pm, offering $22–$26/hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1 year medical office experience.
• Preferred: Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Greet/register patients and share visit expectations and next appointment details at checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Coordinate with attorneys, insurers, translation services, and leadership teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and perform insurance verifications.

Location: 402 Dewey Blvd, San Francisco, CA, 94116

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday (7am-4pm)

Compensation:$22.00 - $26.00/hour based on experience

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1 Year Medical Office Experience
• Bilingual
