Job summary

Select Medical in Lighthouse Point, FL is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk and patient flow at our outpatient PT center. You will greet patients, schedule visits, and handle co-pays and insurance verifications, contributing to a positive care experience.

The role is full-time, weekdays with a starting pay of $16/hour, with potential for growth based on experience. Benefits include health plans, 401(k) and PTO options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of medical office experience required.
• Bilingual in additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visits and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys, insurance companies, and translation services; support operations and business development.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health care experience
• Bilingual
