Job summary

Select Medical's outpatient physical therapy center in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for full-time, weekday hours. You’ll greet patients, register them, explain visit flow, schedule appointments, and coordinate with insurance and attorneys to ensure smooth transitions.

Primary duties include collecting co-pays, obtaining authorizations, and verifying coverage. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year front desk and scheduling experience, and

• 1 year scheduling experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visit flow and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys, insurance providers, translation services, and center leadership.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Position:Patient Service Specialist

Location: 510 Cottage Grove rd Bloomfield, CT 06002

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday (2 evenings until 7pm)

Compensation:$18.00 - $20.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• 1 Year of Scheduling Experience
• Healthcare experience
