Job summary

Select Medical in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet and register patients, explain visit steps, and help patients understand their next appointment while ensuring a warm, efficient check-in and check-out experience.

This full-time position supports scheduling, collects co-pays, handles insurance authorizations, and communicates with attorneys, insurers, and the care team to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred 1 year front desk experience.
• Preferred 1 year scheduling experience.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.

Overview

Position:Patient Service Specialist

Location: 510 Cottage Grove rd Bloomfield, CT 06002

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday (2 evenings until 7pm)

Compensation:$18.00 - $20.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• 1 Year of Scheduling Experience
• Healthcare experience
