Job summary

Select Medical in Newark, DE is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, explain visit expectations, and assist with appointment check-out.

The full-time role includes scheduling, coordinating with insurers and other partners, collecting co-pays, obtaining authorizations, and ensuring smooth patient flow. A high school diploma and insurance verification experience are required; front desk experience is preferred.

• Experience with insurance verification is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Monday - Friday (hours vary/ 2 evening until 7pm per week)

Compensation:

$19.00 - $20.00/hour (pending experience)
