Job summary

Select Medical in Montgomery, AL is hiring a Patient Service Specialist to be the friendly front-desk face of our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, schedule visits, handle co-pays and verify insurance, helping ensure a smooth start to every patient’s visit.

This full-time role offers Monday–Friday hours with a strong benefits package, including health coverage and retirement savings, in a nationwide network of care facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Insurance verification experience preferred.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Schedule: Weekdays (8am to 5pm)

Compensation: Starting at $16/hour (Pending experience)
