Job summary

Select Medical in Millington, TN is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage the front desk and patient flow at our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, and guide them through visits and upcoming appointments in a courteous, efficient manner.

The role requires strong scheduling and communication skills, with duties including collecting co-pays, handling authorizations, and coordinating with insurers and clinics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of front desk experience.
• 1 year of medical office experience is preferred.
• Insurance verification experience is preferred.
• 1 year of scheduling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, market ops leaders, and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Compensation: Starting at $17 hour (pending experience)

• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
• Insurance Verification Experience
• 1 Year of Scheduling Experience
