Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Memphis, TN, is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet and register patients, guide them through visits, and coordinate appointments at the front desk. This full-time role supports both patient care and billing processes in a outpatient physical therapy center.

Responsibilities include scheduling, handling co-pays, and communicating with insurers and providers. Strong front desk experience and scheduling abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience is required.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience is preferred.
• Insurance Verification Experience is preferred.
• 1 Year of Scheduling Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Schedule: Weekdays (Varies)

Compensation: Starting at $17 hour (pending experience)
