Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist at our West Hartford outpatient center. You will greet patients, register them, and coordinate appointments while handling front desk duties and patient communications.

The role requires strong front desk skills, some insurance verification experience, and the ability to manage co-pays and appointments in a fast-paced environment. This PRN/as-needed schedule aligns with Weekdays, Monday–Friday in a patient-facing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 1 year front desk experience.
• Preferred: insurance verification experience.
• Preferred: 1 year medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain regular communication with attorney offices, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and the business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Position:Patient Service Specialist

Type of Employment:PRN (as needed)

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday

Compensation:$17.00 - $20.00/hour
