Job summary

Select Medical in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, schedule appointments, and manage front desk operations at our outpatient physical therapy center. You will handle payments, verify insurance, and coordinate with referring offices to ensure smooth visits.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional evenings, $18–$20 per hour based on experience, and benefits including PTO, medical plans, and a company 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year medical front office experience.
• Insurance verification experience.
• 1 year scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, market leaders, and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Location: 140 N Addison Ave, 2nd floor, Elmhurst IL 60126

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Monday - Friday (hours vary/2 evening per week till 6pm)

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00/hour (pending experience)

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year medical front office
• Insurance Verification
• 1 year of scheduling

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Bilingual
