Job summary

Select Medical in Auburn, ME is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to greet patients, register them, and guide them through their visit from check-in to check-out. This full-time front desk role supports both patient experience and center operations, with weekday hours Monday through Friday.

This position includes scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays, verifying insurance, and coordinating with insurers, attorneys, translation services, and leadership to ensure smooth center operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience at a front desk is preferred.
• Experience verifying insurance and scheduling appointments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Type of Employment: Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00/hour
