Job summary

Select Medical in Maine is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to warmly greet patients, register them, schedule appointments, and guide them through their visit. The role includes handling payments, coordinating with insurance, and communicating with external offices to support the center’s operations.

Work is in a full-time outpatient setting with standard weekday hours. The ideal candidate has a high school credential and experience at a front desk, preferably in healthcare, to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1 Year Front Desk experience.
• Preferred: Healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Schedule:Weekdays, Monday through Friday

Compensation:$18.00 - $21.00/hour
