Job summary

Select Medical's Auburn, ME outpatient physical therapy center is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to welcome patients, register them, explain what to expect, and guide them to the next appointment. You will schedule visits, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and coordinate with attorneys, insurers, translation services, and the center team to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year front desk experience preferred.
• Insurance verification experience desired.
• 1 year scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, explain what to expect and provide next appointment information as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain regular communication with attorneys, insurers, translation services, market leaders and the business development team.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday

Compensation:$18.00 - $20.00/hour

• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• 1 Year Front Desk experience
• Insurance Verification Experience
• 1 Year of Scheduling Experience
