Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Frisco, TX is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support front-desk operations and insurance verifications.

Responsibilities include check-in/out, scheduling, EMR data entry, and patient communications, with hours Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, and starting pay $18-$25 per hour plus benefits. Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision insurance; PTO; 401(k) with company match; disability coverage and more.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification helpful.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments and minimize cancellations.
• Register patient information in the EMR with accurate signatures.
• Verify patient insurance and obtain required authorizations.
• Collect patient financial responsibility at each visit.
• Scan and maintain medical documents.
• Post charges and reporting to ensure clean claim processing.
• Respond to information requests from patients, departments and physicians.
• Maintain office and supplies; adjust schedule as needed.
• Travel to non-home locations for coverage when necessary.
• Attend mandatory meetings and in-service education.

Looking for a customer service, detail oriented individual who is able to work in a fast paced environment. Tasks include check in, check out, insurance verifications, scheduling, reports, faxing and scanning and other office duties. To provide outstanding customer service to patients and staff.

• Coordinates patient appointments, working with Center manager to minimize cancellations and support Treatment adherence.
• Registers patient information, ensuring all forms are complete with signatures and accurate information documented in the electronic medical record.
• Verifies patient insurance, obtaining required authorizations before patient visit and explains benefits, financial responsibilities, billing, and outpatient policies.
• Collects toward patient responsibility at each visit.
• Scan and maintain medical documents.
• Reconciles and posts charges daily and other reporting to ensure clean claim processing.
• Responds to all request for information from patients, other department and physicians.
• Maintains office, orders supplies and manages mail.
• Willingness to adjust schedule to center needs.
• Travels Attends all mandatory meetings and in-service education programs.
• Travels to non-home location center or other site for coverage when necessary.
• HS diploma or GED is required
