Job summary

HeartPlace in Frisco, TX is seeking a Full-Time Medical Front Office Specialist to join our clinic team. You will handle patient check-in, data entry, scheduling, and front-desk duties in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of front desk experience, EMR experience, and the ability to obtain authorizations. ECW or Athena familiarity is preferred, and you may move between clinic locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of medical front desk and customer service experience is required.
• 6 months of EMR experience is required (ECW or Athena preferred).
• 6 months of obtaining prior authorization experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Registers new patients at check-in and enters data into the system.
• Ensures patient demographics are up to date.
• Collects co-pays, balances, and coinsurance at arrival.
• Provides support for incoming calls to the clinic.
• Communicates patient arrival to the clinical team.
• Completes pre-certification/pre-authorizations before arrival.
• Prepares charts and paperwork for next day’s patients.
• Supports check-out and informs patients of service charges.
• Assists scheduling for the clinic.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Moves between locations as needed.
