Job summary

Nebraska Orthopaedic Center in Lincoln, NE seeks a Front Desk receptionist to greet patients, register information, and coordinate front-desk operations with the medical team. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset to support physicians, staff, and patients in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm; full-time position. You will verify demographics and insurance, maintain confidentiality, and help ensure smooth patient

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; medical office experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to verify demographics and insurance info accurately.
Knowledge of clinic operating policies preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and register patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner.
Verify patient demographics and insurance information and update in the medical record as needed.
Maintain and update current information on physicians’ schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly.
Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages, and provide information.
Oversee waiting area, coordinate patient movement, report problems and irregularities.
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA Guidelines.
Attend meetings as required.
