Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Medical Business Associate (Receptionist) to be the first point of contact for patients and families. You will gather and verify patient and insurance information, enter data into the registration system, and coordinate appointments and referrals.

You will greet patients professionally, manage inbound inquiries by phone and in person, and respond to patient needs with accuracy and courtesy. This role requires attention to detail and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED; Associate Degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Medical Practice Business Associate or similar healthcare role.
• Proficient in typing, Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.
• High school graduate or GED; 6 months to 1 year Customer Service experience required.
• 6 months to 1 year Customer Service experience required. Usually achieved by previously working with the public with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Obtain/verify all required patient and insurance information and enter into the registration system accurately.
• Schedule patient appointments, including return visits, referrals, and diagnostic testing/procedures.
• Greet patients professionally in person and over the phone; respond to patients and families effectively.
