Job summary

Bass Privia Management Company of California, LLC is seeking a capable Medical Front/Back Office assistant in Concord, CA. The role includes front-desk and clinical support, lab results coordination, and processing prior authorizations to expedite patient care.

The ideal candidate will have EPIC EMR experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid payers. Monday–Friday, 32 hours weekly, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Two to three years medical front and back office experience preferred.
• High School diploma required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate CA/National preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Experience with Medicare, HMO and PPO insurance payers.

Responsibilities

• Perform all administrative and direct patient care tasks in a clinical setting to patients at check out.
• Obtain lab/test results from outside as well as sending standing orders to designated labs.
• Process prior authorizations for various tests and MD orders.
• Contact insurance companies to file appeals or obtain verbal authorizations for urgent treatment.
• Work closely with providers to coordinate patient care needs.
• Provide patients with referrals for continuing care and educate on processes.
