Job summary

Power Personnel in Beverly Hills, CA, is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a busy outpatient Internal Medicine practice. In this administrative-focused role, you’ll manage EPIC InBasket messages, coordinate appointments, assist with patient registration, and ensure timely communication among patients and the care team.

This 13-week, full-time assignment offers a competitive hourly pay and a weekday/weekend schedule, with 5x8-hour shifts and every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma and 2+ years outpatient clinic experience.
• At least 1 year EPIC experience including provider inbox management.
• Experience managing 6-8 provider pools and inboxes; scheduling and patient registration.

Responsibilities

• Manage 6-8 provider pools and EPIC InBasket messages, ensuring timely routing, follow up, and communication.
• Coordinate patient appointment scheduling, including managing appointments and supporting daily provider schedules.
• Perform patient registration and maintain accurate demographic and administrative information.
• Review, organize, and prepare patient charts and relevant documentation in EPIC.
• Manage incoming patient messages, requests, and inquiries, routing clinical concerns to the appropriate provider or team member.
• Assist with pharmacy communications and patient prescription refill requests, following established protocols.
• Coordinate patient follow-up calls and ensure messages and requests are addressed appropriately.
